The Probig floating sludge removal system is our patented solution for removing floating sludge from your wastewater treatment plant. This system is characterized by high effectiveness, minimal maintenance and flexibility in use. The trigger unit and a baffle behind it deliver an optimal cleaning result which has already been proven by numerous references.
The floating removal system can be installed in both round and rectangular pools. Retrofitting on existing scraper bridges as well as the use in combination with longitudinal scrapers are also possible. Depending on the application, screw conveyors can be supplied or special solutions or customized designs can be made according to our customers requirements.

- High effectiveness at minor input
Due to the adjustable immersion depth of the float in the siphon pot, only the required amount of water and sludge is pumped, leading to an optimal effect whilst minimizing energy consumption. In addition, no air is sucked into the water-sludge mixture which has a positive effect on the service life of the pump. Deficits in terms of delivery head, bubbles in the pressure line and maintenance can be largely eliminated.
- Serviceability
The floating sludge pump and the floating body are installed in a maintenance-friendly, tool-free construction that can be lifted out.
- Accuracy
The desired mixing ratio of water and sludge can be set via the pump, optionally also remotely. This ensures on the one hand that the medium can be pumped and, on the other hand prevents the extracted sludge from being conveyed in an undesirably highly concentrated or excessively diluted state.
- Flexibility in use
Full functionality even with water level fluctuations of up to ± 125 mm. In addition, the floating substances are reliably retained by the use of a trailing immersion wall in the event of fluctuations of up to ± 200 mm.
